But we'll keep you right!

From Junction 40 (Penrith) of the M6, head west to Keswick.
After around 18 miles, ignore 3 left turns for Keswick.
Take the next left for Portinscale, and Newlands, and drive through the village, passing 2 marinas on the left and a lone house in the woods on the right.
Ignore the right turn by the house.
Take the next right, opposite a postbox in the wall.
Round the corner to fantastic open views, and The Swinside Inn.
